‘Hostage’, a joint Iranian-Turkish film project has begun the pre-production phase and will be ready to begin shooting soon.
The movie is a story about a group of international smugglers backed by the Daesh (ISIS) and Taliban terrorist groups, who after assassinating a group of Iranian diplomats in Afghanistan, enter Iran and attack a village in the middle of a wedding ceremony, causing a massacre and taking the remaining survivors hostage. The terrorists then use the hostages as ransom in order to pressure the government into freeing a group of their fellow smugglers who are imprisoned in Iran, while threatening to murder the hostages if their demands are not met.
Directed by Mahmoud Dini and produced by Mohammad-Reza Sharafuddin, the film will be shot in both Iran and in Turkey.
The film’s actors which will be comprised of both Iranian and Turkish actors will be announced soon.
